Required documents

To be a courier on the Yello platform you will need to have a valid ABN (Australian Business Number) and supply us with the valid document listed below:

Where is Yello available?

Yello is available all over Australia and expanding.

Cities include:

  • NSW: Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong
  • VIC & TAS: Melbourne, Geelong, Hobart, Launceston
  • QLD: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Cairns
  • WA: Perth
  • ACT: Canberra
  • SA: Adelaide

How much can I earn?

The rates on Yello vary and are set by the Retailer. The rates are determined by a combination of things such as:

  • How long it takes to complete a job
  • What items are being delivered
  • The distance from pick up to the delivery location
  • Whether multiple deliveries are requested at once

While Yello doesn’t determine the rates, you can expect that most Retailers will offer jobs ranging from $10 to $15 per job.

What items will I be delivering?

When using the Yello platform a retailer may contract you to deliver all sorts of items every day.

The orders may include, but are not be limited to:

  • Groceries
  • Flowers
  • Alcohol
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Contact lenses
  • Clothes
  • Games
  • Electronics kits
  • Ready meals

Can I choose my own hours?

Yes! As an Independent Contractor using the Yello App you have ultimate control over your schedule. You work directly with multiple Retailers, so you choose when, where and who you work for! Note that once you accept a delivery job from a Retailer, they are expecting you at the agreed time as shown in the App.

Can’t work Wednesday nights? No problem, just book the times that suit you or turn on roaming to get offered on-demand delivery jobs.

Only want to work weekends? Awesome! Thursday through Monday are big days!

Are there any fees charged by Yello?

We don’t charge you any hidden ongoing fees for using our platform – you earn exactly what is advertised in the app!

You will be paid into your nominated bank account daily directly from the Retailer to you; however, funds can take up to 5 businesses days to hit your account. The App has an Invoice section where you can monitor the status of each invoice.

What type of vehicle can I use?

Yello Couriers can use any kind of vehicle. It can be either a pushbike/motorbike, car, van/wagon, or even a truck. The majority of our deliveries are booked for cars and motorbikes. However, we still have plenty of deliveries available for couriers using either a pushbike or van.

It is necessary to make sure that your vehicle is in good working condition, kept clean, and insured at all times.
